BUILDING SOFTWARE

Vibe Coding Workflow from Brief to Live Check

Write the user journey, keep source history and implement one working slice at a time. After publishing, repeat the same journey at the public URL—the preview may use different configuration.

01A visible success condition gives the coding agent a checkable target.

02Source history and service secrets need separate handling.

03Generated tests need an actual run; published apps need a fresh check.

Start with one practical task

Write one acceptance case before prompting. Commit the first working slice, review the diff and repeat the same case on the deployed URL. Keep the expected result with the change so someone else can rerun it.

Define the smallest useful journey

Describe who uses the product, the input they provide and the result they should receive. Add failure cases and a visible success condition. Planning before implementation gives the agent a target that can be checked.

Choose the build path and keep source history

Choose a builder or coding environment around the required platform, data and handoff needs. Connect source control before substantial iteration where supported, and keep secrets and service configuration separate from source files.

Implement a small slice, then verify it

Ask for one working slice at a time. Inspect the changed files and check the acceptance condition in the app. Playwright separates test planning, test generation and repair; a generated test file is not evidence of a passing run.

Publish and repeat the real journey

After publishing, check the public URL, sign-in flow, data persistence and recovery path using the intended environment. A preview and a live deployment can depend on different configuration. Keep a known working version for rollback.

A few more details

Can one prompt prove the product is ready?

No. Readiness comes from observed behavior against your requirements, including errors and recovery. This workflow is an editorial sequence, not a report of a product built and tested here.
