Vibe Coding Tech Stack for Shipping a Small App
A stack is a set of responsibilities: who stores the data, identifies the user, collects payment and runs the app. Choose those boundaries around the first complete customer journey.

Plan the boundary between the app builder, database and authentication. This is an architecture checklist, not a claimed maker case study.

StripeAssign data, identity and payment ownership
01Realtime collaboration and a public content site need different data flows.
02Database choice and identity ownership are separate decisions.
03Payment events must lead to the correct application access.
Start with one practical task
Draw the path from a user action to stored data and back to a visible result. Assign each step an owner across the interface, authentication, storage and deployment. Use that path to choose the minimum stack.
Write down the smallest complete workflow
A public content site, a logged-in dashboard and a realtime collaborative tool place different demands on a stack. List the data, user roles and live updates needed for the first working journey. Avoid choosing infrastructure from a generic checklist alone.
Make ownership boundaries explicit
Supabase and Convex organize data access differently. Better Auth and Clerk offer different ownership and operating models for identity. Payment choices add another responsibility boundary: confirm account ownership, entitlement updates and the provider’s supported operating model.
Validate a vertical slice
Build one path that reads and writes the intended data, handles permissions and reaches a deployed environment. Check the unhappy path as well as success. This gives more useful stack evidence than a diagram that has not carried a real task.
