Try a short browser edit
Open the editor in a documented browser, try a small project with one effect and check preview and output on your hardware.
What it’s useful for
MasterSelects is for hands-on media work: arranging a timeline, adjusting an effect graph and keeping an editable project. The official screenshot shows its node workspace rather than a template picker. Its current README recommends desktop Chrome or Edge and separates local editing from hosted AI services.
Inside the product
- Arrange clips, nested compositions, keyframes, masks and audio on editing workspaces.
- Connect effects in a node graph with live previews.
- Retain editable projects through the documented folder, browser-storage or Native Helper paths.
Good to know
- The current README recommends Chrome or Edge on desktop; browser, GPU and media-codec support affect the workflow.
- Hosted AI and media generation use external services and may require credits; this is separate from local editing.
- The project is actively developed. No VEED project importer, export benchmark or mobile editing parity was verified.
The maker’s build notes
The original maker post identifies the author as a video artist and attributes the build to Claude. We use that generic attribution without inferring a particular Claude coding client. Current product behavior and licensing follow the current repository, rather than the older launch post: the editor is now AGPL-3.0-only.
A few more details
Does a saved project replace a rendered video?
A project preserves editable state and media references. A rendered file is the deliverable to play or publish. Keep the required source media and check a small export on your own browser and GPU; this review did not run that test.
