nvenvy.appnvEnvy
A keyboard-driven macOS note editor that stores Markdown files in a normal folder and combines search with note creation.

Search a local Markdown folder
Open a small folder of Markdown copies and test a search, edit and cross-link before moving a larger collection.
What it’s useful for
nvEnvy combines a search field, a note list and a Markdown editor. Notes remain ordinary files in a folder. It suits writers who want to find and edit text quickly without managing a graph, canvas or collection of plugins.
Inside the product
- Search notes by text and tags, then open or create a note from the keyboard.
- Read and write Markdown files with frontmatter, tags and wikilinks.
- Use a notes folder with iCloud Drive, plus documented nvALT import and document export routes.
Good to know
- Requires macOS 14 or later. The published scope does not include a current iPhone or iPad application.
- No graph view, canvas or plugin ecosystem is documented; the product deliberately concentrates on text notes.
- No direct ENEX importer is documented. Test a conversion route before moving an Evernote archive.
The maker’s build notes
The official site identifies the project as vibe-coded and links the maintainer repository. It does not name a particular coding assistant. The site and README disagree about direct DMG distribution; this page points to the product and repository without promising that download channel.
A few more details
Can I import an Evernote archive directly?
The documented formats do not include a direct ENEX importer. Joplin and Obsidian document ENEX routes; nvEnvy is a possible next destination for text files after conversion and a small verification pass.
