The short version
| Option | Choose it for | Check first |
|---|---|---|
| blob.day · AI-built project | Paint availability; inspect live overlap across time zones | Beta; identity entry; recurring and email features are Early Access |
| Timeslots · AI-built project | Name-based responses, a heatmap and optional edit passwords | Keep the private manage link; no calendar sync established |
| Rallly · established software | Vote on proposed times, then finalize a date | Review the finalization and participant-notification flow |
| When2meet · established software | Collect availability on a group grid | Timezone assumptions differ between date and weekday surveys |
An AI-built option
2 projectsEstablished options to compare
Rallly
Propose meeting options, share a poll, and collect Yes, If need be or No responses.
Useful when a shortlist of concrete times is easier than a broad grid. Its schedule documentation covers finalizing a time and notifying selected participants.
Visit official siteWhen2meet
An established availability survey for finding a common meeting time.
A useful grid-based baseline. Its date and day-of-week modes have different timezone assumptions; a timezone selector does not itself imply connected-calendar sync.

Doodle01Grid availability and fixed-time polls ask different questions.
02Response identity and edit controls vary between products.
03Finding an overlap does not automatically send an invitation.
Try one workflow before switching
Give three people the same set of time options. Ask one person to update a vote, then finalize a slot and send the calendar event. Check what happens to late replies.
A few proposed times or a broad grid?
For five people in different time zones, first decide how much choice to offer. If you already have three plausible slots, a poll such as Rallly keeps the question small. If people need to reveal availability across several days, the grid model in blob.day, Timeslots or When2meet is the closer match.
Check who can answer and edit
Timeslots documents name-based participation with an optional password for editing. The public blob.day New Event page shows locked fields plus sign-in and guest-identity controls; this review did not complete either identity path. Rallly documents cookie or magic-link editing. These are different response-control models, not equivalent account systems.
The final calendar step matters
A dark square on a heatmap shows overlap; it does not by itself reserve a calendar slot. Automatic connected-calendar conflict checks and confirmed invitations were not established for the two AI-built projects here. Rallly separately documents a finalization step with calendar invitations. If your requirement is an appointment link or sales-team routing, this group-poll shortlist is too narrow.
How to use this comparison
Run the same small workflow in your shortlisted products: keep the input, output and required integration the same. The table records documented scope; it does not report a side-by-side product test.
A few more details
Can participants reply without signing up?
Timeslots explicitly documents name-only replies. blob.day shows sign-in and guest-identity entry controls, which were not completed. Check the participant path as well as the organizer path before inviting a group.
Will choosing a time send a calendar invitation?
Do not assume that from an availability grid. Rallly documents finalization and invitations; that behavior was not established for blob.day or Timeslots.
Are all of these apps AI-built?
Only entries with an original maker record carry that attribution. Established products are listed separately and are not assigned an AI-build label.
Sources & maker notes
The AI-build attribution applies only to products with a linked maker record. Other options use the publisher’s current product documentation; prices and plans should be checked at the source.
