Bio Sites
A Squarespace product for a customizable bio page with links, images and creator content.
A focused choice for a single social-profile destination. Its page editor should not be assumed to offer a general CMS or code export.
Visit official siteLinktree
A managed link-in-bio page combining links and supported Link Apps.
Consider it if the whole requirement is sending visitors to your existing destinations. It has a different editing model from a flexible one-page website builder.

Try one workflow before switching
Recreate a small page with a heading, one button and the contact method you need. Try the live address on a phone and check who can change the page after handoff.
A website or just one useful link?
A personal site with a hero, project sections and a contact form needs more layout and publishing control than a list of destinations. WEB4 is the relevant builder comparison here. Bio Sites and Linktree belong in the shortlist only when the required result is a profile or link hub.
Budget for the published result
| Item | Carrd baseline | What to compare |
|---|---|---|
| Custom domain | Pro Standard or higher; register a domain separately | Hosting entitlement, domain connection and renewal |
| Download | Pro Plus or higher; front-end files only | Where the export runs and who maintains it |
| Forms after export | Carrd-dependent elements are nonfunctional in downloads | A separate form backend or integration may be needed |
| WEB4 publication | A different purchase model | Editor bundle, recurring hosting and extra AI usage |
Do not assume a round-trip migration
Carrd’s download documentation says a downloaded site cannot be uploaded back into Carrd. WEB4 advertises export, but no Carrd importer was established. Before moving an existing site, list its forms, domain records and redirects as separate work.
How to use this comparison
Run the same small workflow in your shortlisted products: keep the input, output and required integration the same. The table records documented scope; it does not report a side-by-side product test.
A few more details
Which alternative includes a full blog CMS?
This shortlist does not establish a full CMS replacement. WEB4 marks PRO blogging Coming Soon; Bio Sites and Linktree are included only for the smaller profile-page task.
Is exporting a site the same as moving everything?
No. Carrd documents that platform-dependent elements such as forms stop functioning in the downloaded copy. Verify hosting, form processing and domain setup separately.
Are all of these apps AI-built?
Only entries with an original maker record carry that attribution. Established products are listed separately and are not assigned an AI-build label.
Sources & maker notes
The AI-build attribution applies only to products with a linked maker record. Other options use the publisher’s current product documentation; prices and plans should be checked at the source.
